Berta De Pablos-Barbier, President, Mars Wrigley Confectionery

Berta De Pablos-Barbier recently returned “home” to Mars and to her first professional love – the food industry. Following several years working in fashion as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Branding for Lacoste, Berta has rejoined Mars as Vice President of Marketing for Mars Chocolate North America. In Berta’s current role she oversees brand management and integrated marketing strategy for a multi-billion dollar portfolio of iconic global brands that include M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, MILKY WAY®, TWIX®, 3MUSKETEERS®, and DOVE®.

Berta spent the early part of her career at Mars in a wide array of roles ranging from food scientist to leading Mars’ Chocolate business in the Middle East to General Manager of the entire Mars portfolio in Spain where she achieved profitable business growth

Prior to this role, Berta spent the last seven years based in France working in the fashion industry first as Vice President, Global Marketing and Communications for Boucheron and then joining Lacoste to lead global marketing for the luxury brand.

Berta recently relocated to the U.S. to join Mars Chocolate North America, part of the world’s largest chocolate manufacturer. She holds an engineering degree from Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain and an MBA from Institut Francais de la Mode in France.
