Matt Decker, Brand & Strategy Manager Ice Cream – Unilever

Matt Decker is currently a Brand & Strategy Manager in Unilever’s Ice Cream division, focusing on portfolio investment, market strategy, & innovation pipeline development. His role follows 4.5 years of brand experience in the category. Most recently, he co-founded a new brand called Culture Republick, which is an ice cream with probiotics & a mission to support culture ‘inside & out’ by also giving back to local arts. Building this brand allowed Matt to roll up his sleeves creatively – crafting the brand’s DNA & full marketing mix – while also managing the operations & execution of the business.

Prior to Culture Republick, Matt’s has enjoyed a diversity of experience in the ice cream category, working across brands like Magnum, Good Humor, and Breyer’s. From developing innovation & marketing mixes to shaping retail strategies & improving financial performance, ice cream has been a sweet ride. And Matt has built a reputation as a creative, entrepreneurial marketer. Beyond Ice Cream, Matt has also worked on Dove, Degree Deodorant, and Lipton Tea.

Outside his core brand roles, Matt has a passion for talent development & mentoring others. Over the past 6 years, he’s helped lead & now runs the marketing internship committee at Unilever – shaping the next generation of talent in the organization.
