Meera Deepak, Group Account Director and VP Strategic and Cultural Initiatives, Tribal/DDB

Meera leads client relationships as a Group Account Director at Tribal Worldwide – a creative advertising agency specializing in digital and social at DDB. Meera currently oversees the AT&T relationship at Tribal, managing teams across NY, LA, and Dallas. Since joining in 2011, Meera grew the agency’s partnership with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, establishing digital, mobile and social media best practices and implementing integrated campaigns with brands like Advil, Robitussin, Centrum, Nexium 24HR, and ThermaCare. Meera has also partnered with clients including Quaker, NFL Fantasy Football, and Unicef.

Meera’s commitment to building teams of “nice and talented” people (as espoused by DDB founder Bill Bernbach), led her to take on a secondment as VP, Strategic and Cultural Initiatives with DDB Group. In this role, she advises executive leadership on programming for top talent, employee engagement initiatives and the future of talent at DDB. Meera supports programming for the Phyllis Project, a training designed to ensure top female talent at DDB are given the opportunities to rise into leadership roles in the future.

Prior to her work at Tribal, Meera led expansion strategy in Asia for Hub Ltd, a London-based coworking space for social entrepreneurs. In this role, Meera lived in Mumbai and collaborated with an international team of changemakers.

Fascinated by what makes us who we are as cultures, and the drivers that connect us, Meera has a deep interest in cultural anthropology and travel. A big believer in rising up and reaching back, Meera volunteers at her alma mater, the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, mentoring students.

Meera engrosses herself in reading and podcasts, gets hooked on all things true crime, loves finding a good new vegetarian recipe for her Instant Pot, and is always up for a good adventure.
