Adding world class leadership training to the equation, a business coach and the chance to assist a small charity, and you have an enormously powerful program. Quite simply you’ll never be the same again after being an MA Scholar.

The Marketing Academy still feels a bit unreal. Every time I have a mentoring session, attend a faculty or we go to boot camp I literally have to pinch myself. The opportunities that The Marketing Academy gives us are so amazing, at times you can’t get your head around the fact that all this has been opened up to you. The access to senior marketers and the insights they are sharing with us and the inspiration they are giving us to become the best marketing leaders that we can be, the skills and learnings we take from the faculties, the support and direction we are getting from our coaches, the sense of purpose and fulfilment that working with our Donate28 charities brings and the bond we are forming with our fellow scholars – on their own these things would be amazing, but together in one intense program, it’s literally life changing stuff. It’s challenging and exciting and uplifting, I’m loving every moment and I can’t believe we are over half way through already. I want to press pause and take stock to make sure I have properly taken in everything I’ve been exposed to, but of course you can’t and it continues to wrap us up and carry us away on our fast paced journey of development. From my first mentor walking into our meeting with Kelly Brook on the roof of Soho house, to a CEO helping me craft my 100 day plan to land a promotion, the Marketing Academy has given me amazing access to some incredible people and some unforgettable moments.

The first thing I was delighted by, when day one of The Marketing Academy commenced, was the extremely high calibre of speakers for the bootcamp. This was quickly followed by the realisation that the other 29 Scholars were some of the most talented, ambitious and nice yet ego-less peers that I had met in our industry. The nine-month program has given me unparalleled access to and inspiration from the top talent of our industry, from TMA scholars and speakers, to mentors and coaches. The scholars’ personal and professional growth has been significant, with many outcomes shared at our final bootcamp, including promotions, payrises, increased gravitas, better industry profiles and personal milestones reached. I can’t recommend this program highly enough, it lifts the emotional intelligence and cohesiveness of the whole industry.

The Marketing Academy is an incredibly unique opportunity that will give see you grow and develop more as a person than you could ever imagine. There’s nothing else that exists that sees you get such a high calibre leadership training, mentoring from highly revered figures in the industry and the chance to meet, and befriend, 29 utterly fantastic people. The simplest way to sum it up would be “career rocket fuel”. I couldn’t encourage anyone enough who is ambitious, and hungry to learn, to apply.

It is a real privilege to have been a Marketing Academy Scholar. It is such a special experience through which I’ve had the chance to meet, learn and be inspired by so many wonderful people.

Before The Marketing Academy I thought I was great at my job and an asset to my company – I now have a broader approach to my role, team and career, a better understanding of my strengths, how to ignite the best in other people and a clearer sense of how my career can help me achieve the life I want to live.

Without actually getting into the specific bootcamp content, it was actually the process of getting everybody to bring themselves, take off their masks, and expose their true self that really made the entire week so powerful. And likewise the giving thanks at the end of the program. It really brought the group together on a very, very deep personal level, and made us bond very quickly. As a key takeout for me, I feel that as a result of this, the depth of the experience, and the strength of the relationships that come out of it are going to be really powerful and lasting.

The Marketing Academy has been an amazing experience. To learn from people that have been there and developed in the industry is honestly priceless. In no other network or environment have I been in such a position that has enabled me to grow and learn on both a personal and professional level. It is like nothing I’ve done before and if you’re looking to develop yourself and your career I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I feel truly overwhelmed to have been chosen to be part of such an exceptional scholarship. I cannot say thank you enough to Sherilyn and The Marketing Academy team, the mentors and, of course, my fellow scholars for making this entire experience phenomenal. I’ve been truly inspired by you all and I know that I’m already a better leader and, hopefully (!), a better person because of it.

The Marketing Academy offers professional development like no other. I feel like it has elevated my thinking to another level and that in years to come I will look back at it being a really crucial, wholly positive juncture in my career. It’s about more than just career development though. As part of the Scholarship I have met some of the loveliest and most impressive people. If they are up for it then I’ll be their friend for life.

I’m not one for soppy stories but I have truly become a better person as an output of the Scholarship. Never have I revised, reflected and refined myself so much. I am truly grateful to have been given the time to just think about the leader I want to be, not have to be. Priceless.

The Marketing Academy offers an unprecedented opportunity to meet face to face with the movers and shakers in the business world and bounce back ideas. The Scholarship is unique in boosting ones understanding and perception of what it means to be a true business leader. I believe that this is the only program which offers a tailored approach to personal development; it shaped my perception, behaviour and attitude.
