Cheryl Hayman, Founder and Principal of Hayman Strategy

Cheryl Hayman is a Strategic Marketing Consultant, a Mentor and a Professional Company Director.
She is founder and principal of Hayman Strategy, a consultancy which provides a broad range of branded business and marketing solutions to organisations.

Cheryl has 20 years experience as a marketing professional with a deep knowledge and a firm track record in building brands. Prior to establishing her business, Cheryl’s lengthy corporate career encompassed big brands in major multi-national organisations. Much of her experience has been with consumer brands in retail environments.

In corporate life, Cheryl was Marketing Director for the Baking Division of George Weston Foods (Australia/NZ) overseeing the strategy, management, development and innovation of renowned brands such as Tip Top and Burgen.
Previously Cheryl spent six years with Yum Restaurants International as Marketing Director, across KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Australia and NZ.

Cheryl also worked at Unilever in Australia for nine years, which included 3 years at Elida Gibbs in London.
Cheryl is on the board of a number of companies, including ASX listed entities, not for profit and publicly unlisted organisations. Cheryl works across business-to-business, consumer-facing and membership-based industries in sectors spanning health, sport, education, agri-business and training.

Cheryl is passionate about growing brands in an ever more competitive environment, and has become an advocate for the relevant strategic use of social media for building a sustainable and compelling brand stories. Cheryl regularly runs webinars and writes blogs for the Australian Businesswomen’s Network.

Cheryl specialises in mentoring for marketing, communications and board executives. She also participates in several industry committees, including the AFA Advertising Effectiveness committee, and acts as a Mentor Supervisor for the Women on Boards Next Generation Female Leaders programme.
