THE MARKETING ACADEMY AUSTRALIA

The Marketing Academy Scholarship and Alumni Programs are in full swing down under.

We warmly welcome all our continuing and our new partners on our Scholarship. Alumni and Virtual Campus Programs here in Australia. New in 2022 are the wonderful folk at Dentsu, Deloitte Digital, REA, and Arnott’s.

2022 kicked off with our first Reveal and Graduating party in 2 years, where we welcomed 250 of the industry’s finest. The people who keep the wheels turning through coaching, mentoring and partnering with the Academy, no matter what life throws at us.

This month the graduating Class of 2021 who experienced a year of soaring highs and desperate lows have launched their spectacular Digital Showcase.

Meanwhile the Alumni Council are focussed this year on launching several key initiatives:
TMA PLAY launches this month, a regular social meet up for Alumni, mentors and coaches, with events taking place in Sydney and Melbourne each month.

Under the council’s Influence Stream, we kicked off the year with a 12 part Series of articles written by TMA Alumni, in Mi3 – covering topics as diverse as ‘Nano Degrees’, Can Marketers Achieve Their Global Career Dreams from…Asia Pacific? & How to Conquer your Inner Imposter and Join the C Suite in 5 years. Read Liam Loan-Lack’s thoughts on what you need to know about strategy, tactics and the myth of best practice when moving from agency to brand side.

The RAP subcommittee have submitted the very first TMA Reconciliation Action Plan with Reconciliation Australia and hope to launch the plan mid-year.

Unemployment Zero is a buddy system implemented by the Alumni Council which supports any Scholar or Alumni navigating retrenchment. We’re proud to say that through the past two COVID years the Unemployment Zero program has supported 19 alumni through their personal journeys.

Last but not least, the Alumni Council is in the process of developing an Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) action plan, to understand where it can make a meaningful impact on the issues facing the Marketing & Advertising industry and its stakeholders. Stay tuned for updates in this space.
