Meghan Farren, CMO – KFC UK & Ireland

A highly awarded, courageous marketer, Meg is a visionary people leader with a track record of short and long-term brand growth.

She has been with KFC for eight years in various marketing leadership roles, including innovation, insight & strategy, and communications. Appointed CMO in 2016, Meg has led a revitalisation and turnaround of the KFC brand amidst unprecedented disruption to the category. She has led the charge to transform the total customer experience and communications, on a mission to make KFC more relevant, distinctive and easier to access. Meg has always agitated and collaborated to drive business change and during her tenure as CMO has built the KFC brand responsibly for long term sustainability and growth.

Taking a somewhat unconventional path to CMO, Meg started her career at JPMorgan on a credit trading desk. After JPMorgan, Meg spent a few years in strategy consulting working across a broad range of consumer and retail businesses which ignited an appetite to learn how to grow and build brands. Her passion for great brands and great food took her to Gu Puds where she held roles in sales and category management before making the move into brand marketing.

A passionate believer that the best work comes through talented, empowered people, at KFC Meg has built a culture of trust, courage, feedback and learning. Her team and their agency partners are not only highly awarded for their creative work but also have delivered outstanding improvement in the brand’s health and commercial performance.

Outside of her team at KFC, Meg is a proud mum of two little girls, a proud wife to an entrepreneur and an often disappointed Spurs fan.
