ToM joined Three UK in July 2011 as Chief Marketing Officer responsible for proposition and products, terminals, CRM, commercial programme management and marketing communications. He was on a mission to change the brand position from cheap price and low quality to a brand with a clear purpose that puts customers first and knocks down barriers to change the mobile industry for the better. This led to the creation of #makeitright, which has become the driving force behind the company. Abolishing roaming, offering All You Can Eat data, and not charging extra for 4G are just some examples where Three has shaken up the industry. In addition, ToM found new and exciting ways to increase the love for the brand by introducing innovative communication concepts.
Prior to joining Three UK, ToM spent 10 years at Three Austria; the last four as Chief Marketing Officer with similar responsibilities. In his time he changed the network perception from an underdog to the leading operator for mobile broadband and later on the leading provider of Superphones, a new generation of smartphones and tariffs, which took over the Austrian market.
