Amy Tippen, Board Account Director – AMV BBDO

Amy currently runs the PepsiCo Snacks and Alzheimer’s Research UK accounts and heads up AMV’s charity brand Bud, a programme set up to give time and money to charities and individuals in need of support to reach their full potential.

Amy joined AMV in 2009 having studied English, French and Italian at Durham University where she was also 1st XI captain of the university hockey team. During her 8 years at the agency she has worked across a variety of accounts – local to global, blue chip to charity – and seen them through to great success. Her clients have included BT, Mars Confectionery, Department for Transport, Dixons Carphone and Hiscox, having also spent 4 months on secondment in the Currys PC World marketing team over their busiest sales period. Throughout her time at the agency, she has led both creatively and strategically awarded teams, most notably on Mars Galaxy, THINK! and Currys PC World. She has also won new business for the agency, most recently Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Giving back is a theme that has run through Amy’s career at AMV. She has organised three hugely successful charity initiatives for Bud, most notably ‘BBDGO’, a company-wide relay race that not only won Gold for Employee Engagement at the Marketing Society Awards, but also raised £25k for Brain Tumour Research. She was also an integral member of the team who redesigned the agency’s training programme, AMV Academy, and is a Dean and mentor across one of the Academy tiers. In 2014, her work ethic and contribution to the agency was duly recognised by awarding her the Rob Hughes Memorial Trophy.

Outside of agency life, you’ll most likely find her on the hockey pitch, playing national league hockey for her beloved Wimbledon HC, or walking her GSP pup, Woody.
