Hannah Lury, Head of Communications Strategy, Planning & Media, Three Mobile

Hannah oversees comms strategy, planning and media at Three Mobile. Since joining in 2018, she has been instrumental in driving a fundamental shift in Three’s communications strategy, challenging and disrupting the telco market as Three look to steal share. To enable this to happen, Hannah convinced the business of the fundamental need to strengthen the Three brand in order to achieve their ambitious growth plan and fought for the right marketing investment to do this. She has also been instrumental in bringing together comms functions within the business, to allow for truly integrated planning, execution and evaluation across brand building and performance streams, and across ATL and BTL activity.

She is passionate about holistic comms planning and now heads up a team of 9 strategists, planners and media specialists. Her team builds the overall comms strategy and plan for the year and sets direction for the execution teams across ATL & BLT channels. She also draws on her previous media experience to oversee the implementation of comms strategy within paid media.

Before joining Three, Hannah gained a wide range of experience across media and content agencies (from buyer to strategist to senior leader) and delivered award winning work along the way. She’s recorded podcasts for Penguin, shot TV ads for PlayStation, run influencer programmes for Swarovski, delivered social campaigns for Oxfam and planned multi-million (and not so multi-million) pound media campaigns for the likes of O2, Aviva and Nestle.

In her ‘down time’ she is mum to two energetic boys and can be found most weekends perfecting her curving free kick in the park. Before the kids took over, she ran the London marathon and is convinced she has another in her. In the meantime, she runs and plays tennis enthusiastically (but not particularly skilfully.)
