Robbie Dale, Founder – Make More Dots

Robbie is the founder of Make More Dots, a business built on the idea that the world would be a better place if we were all a bit more curious. As a creative director and writer he’s long seen the connection between curiosity, creativity and clarity of what actually *works*. Make More Dots partners with interesting organisations to create projects that help more people benefit from those connections.

Previously, Robbie spent 10 years as creative director of word of mouth specialists 1000heads, and latterly Unreal, a D&AD award winning design agency. He worked with clients including PlayStation, Red Bull, Microsoft and the BBC, won over 50 awards for creativity and effectiveness, played a small part in changing the course of British politics, and was named in the inaugural BIMA Hot 100 and Drum Digerati ‘power lists’ (inverted commas mandatory).

His career got going while ignoring Philosophy lectures at the University of York and instead learning how to run a comedy club, use Adobe Creative Suite and write scripts for radio (BBC Radio 4, 7) and stage (Edinburgh Fringe, London various). It emerged more fully formed later as the first employee of Casting Call Pro advising producers, actors, drama schools and more on how to make the most of a new thing called ‘the internet’.
