Polly Cochrane, Partner, Coach and Advisor at The Alexander Partnership

Following a career launching and building some of the world’s biggest media and entertainment brands, Polly is now a Partner at The Alexander Partnership, working across a range of industries, pursuing a passion for unlocking potential in leaders with an ambition to inspire.

Polly’s corporate life spanned magazines, newspapers, broadcasting and latterly the U.S. studio system, where she ultimately became Country Manager for WarnerMedia in the UK & Ireland. She cut her ‘media teeth’ on notable launches including the UK edition of Vanity Fair, The Observer under Guardian ownership, and Channel 5 Television with help from the Spice Girls. Polly found her spiritual home at Channel 4 where, as Director of Marketing and Communications for 11 years, she led the diversification of the brand in a new multi-channel world, inspiring innovative and impactful approaches to marketing in line with the public service broadcaster’s mission to ‘do it first, make trouble and inspire change’.

In 2009, Polly moved to Warner Bros. Entertainment UK with a brief to pioneer a new, holistic way of managing content IP, combining previously separate film, television, home video, games and consumer products marketing groups into one integrated function. The tangible benefits of this approach led to Polly being asked to establish a new global marketing function for the Harry Potter franchise and subsequently to her moving into general management to lead the company’s $1Bn business in the UK & Ireland.

Married with two grown up sons, Polly is an Architect by training, a qualified coach through Meyler Campbell and a member of BAFTA.
