Marketing Academy Australia – News from Down Under

Our cohort of 30 Australian marketers is now half way through their 9 Month Australia Leaders Programme and loving every second of it. They recently shared their favourite nuggets of learning in this great piece in the industry journal AdNews.  They’ve also been enjoying the time spent with their 30 Coaches, contributing to this article about the power of Coaching.

At the end of this month they’ll being enjoying a Lecture in Sydney hosted by Marketing Week Columnist Mark Ritson. Rumours that Sherilyn’s upcoming visit to Sydney was planned just so that she could watch Marks lecture are exaggerated!

In other Aussie news Sherilyn recently spent a week in London with a dozen members of AANA (Australia’s version of ISBA) for a cross world study tour. The Australian Marketing Directors spent time with our ‘Fellows’ who hosted them for 2 hour sessions sharing some best practice from the UK in marketing, innovation and customer service.  We’d like to say a huge thank you to our Fellows from John Lewis, Sainsbury, Guardian Media Group, Marks & Spencer, Dixons Carphone and Santander for being so generous with their time. Plans to return their generosity with trips to the Great Barrier Reef are currently being discussed….
