Serge Costi is an experienced marketer having worked on some of the most iconic global and local brands. He is currently Marketing Manager – Premium Beer at Lion, where he leads the Brand, Innovation and Shopper Marketing team across brands such as Heineken, Kirin, Guinness, James Boag and Byron Bay Brewery. Making fun work on great beer brands is what gets him up in the morning, and leading a passionate team of 10 is what keeps him going.
Prior to Lion Serge spent 9 years at Diageo, including being based in New York City as the Global Marketing Manager of Smirnoff Vodka, where he combined his love for travel, culture and alcohol to manage the global innovation strategy in emerging markets across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Serge’s love for understanding people of all walks of life has led to the creation of vibrant products and campaigns in countries such as Nigeria, Thailand, Brazil and across the USA, UK and Australia.
Serge’s work has gained several accolades on the global stage, including 8 Cannes Lions and multiple International awards for campaigns on Bundaberg Rum, being awarded Mumbrella Marketing Team of the Year, and being selected to study in France at the Cannes Lions Young Marketers Academy.
When Serge isn’t in the office or touring breweries you’ll find him out on the water kayak fishing or with his wife and two daughters.
