The Marketing Academy Merlin Award Winners 2015

“The delicate balance of mentoring someone isn’t creating them in your image but giving them the opportunity to create themselves” – Steven Spielberg

At The Marketing Academy we realise that being a mentor and taking time out to help advise, encourage and share experiences with someone is a very special thing to do. The Marketing Academy’s Scholarship programme is based around the generosity of the UK’s most senior business and marketing leaders donating their time to mentor our Scholars and we have devised our Merlin Awards as a way to celebrate those brilliant mentors.

Each of The Marketing Academy’s 2014 graduating Scholars select just one person from all the mentors, leaders and speakers who have donated their time across the Scholarship year to receive a ‘Merlin Award’. It’s their way of thanking and appreciating the individual from whom they received an extra special piece of wisdom, advice, insight or inspiration.

The Merlin Awards, a glass plaque inscribed with The Marketing Academy’s Mascot ‘Merlin’ the Owl, were personally presented to the winning mentors at a Gala Party on Tuesday 12th May at Diageo’s head office in North London.
