Suresh Raj, Chief Business Development Officer, Vision7 International

Suresh sits on the board at Vision7 International, a fully integrated marketing communications group with offices in NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.  As an openly gay and ethnic minority senior executive having spent 22 years in the marketing communications industry in London and New York, he is champion of equality, picking up from his previous efforts whilst he was Worldwide Chief Business Development Officer at Ogilvy Group.

Suresh is actively involved in a myriad of programs for Ethnic Minority and LGBT+ communities, and is an Executive Sponsor of a number of Professional Networks which focus on personal and professional development of LGBTIQ+, Black, Asian, Women’s and Latin communities.  He is a personal mentor to a number of Ethnic Minority and LGBTIQ+ individuals.

He is also a professional mentor with a number of organisations – specifically the INvolve mentoring program, the Marketing Academy (USA) as well as with individuals in and outside work across the USA, UK, UAE, and Asia. Externally, Suresh sits on a number of advisory boards and continues to speak on a professional and personal level, at various ground-breaking forums in emerging and established markets. He was a contributor on the global anthropological study, Leading Humans, and has discussed the positive impact of living inclusive and open lives to aid societal progress.  He is also one of the inaugural members of McKinsey’s The Alliance – a group of Senior Industry/Political leaders brought together in 2018 by McKinsey to address the global issues of Equality across the spectrums of business, politics and social.

Amongst his many involvements in this space, Suresh was on the Host Committee for OutRight International’s recent Celebration of Courage, he was a Rockstar Nominee at the AdColor Awards (2017) which celebrates and advocates diversity in the creative and technology industries, was on the committee for the PRSA Foundation’s Paladin Awards which recognizes the efforts being made to ensure greater inclusivity of diverse voices within the industry.

He has been ranked on the FT Ethnic Minorities as well as FT LGBT+ Global Leaders Lists for three years running now (2016, 2017, 2018).
