Kate Barton, Chief Brand Officer – Magnolia

Kate is the Chief Brand Officer at Magnolia

Kate was previously the Executive Director of Marketing on the Aveda Brand at Estee Lauder.  Aveda is the one of the first green beauty brands:  the first beauty company to be 100% wind powered manufactured, our bottles are post-consumer recycled, and there are no synthetics in any of our products.  Aveda’s mission is to care for the world we live in, and our work in sustainability is more relevant than ever before.

Prior to Estee Lauder, Kate worked across brands such as Nature Valley, Liberte, Go-Gurt, and Betty Crocker during her 7 years at General Mills.  She also worked in Global Skincare at J&J on brands such as Neutrogena and Clean & Clear.  Kate began her career at Boston Consulting Group.  She holds her MBA from Harvard Business School and her Bachelors from Baylor University.

Kate has a demonstrated history of working across industries. Skilled in marketing strategy, leading teams, creating modern marketing campaigns, and new product development, Kate loves the variety of P&L and creativity that comes with brand management.  Kate is passionate about creating brands with purpose and leading teams through vision.

In her free time, Kate loves spending time with her three children and her husband in Minneapolis.  She loves international travel and practicing her French.
